South American explorer Mariana Resources is adding to its exploration assets.
The company has applied for 20 mineral titles in the Deseado Massif in Santa Cruz province, southern Argentina. It will explore for gold and silver deposits.
Mariana is already involved in the region through the Sierra Blanca gold-silver project, which it is developing in a joint venture with IAMGOLD Corporation. Drilling is planned for the Veta Chala target in September 2008.
Mariana shares rose 0.25p to 7.25p.
