Attractions design and fit-out company Paragon Entertainment Ltd has gained the worldwide exclusive rights to open themed attractions under the Hammer House of Horror brand.

Exclusive Media has granted Paragon the rights to the Hammer brand for ten years. The first Hammer House of Horrors site is likely to be in central London and there are plans for others in the UK. Dracula and Frankenstein are two characters in Hammer Films’ back catalogue that could have their own themed attractions. The latest Hammer film is The Quiet Ones, where a professor tries to create a ghost.

Paragon started out making attractions for other operators of visitor attractions. Paragon has designed attractions for museums, shopping malls, theme parks and science centres.

Paragon opened the first of its own themed attractions in November. The first set of attractions, under the Quest brand, are in the Merry Hill Shopping Centre in the West Midlands. Paragon also has an agreement with Hasbro to build and operate NERF branded attractions.

Paragon was formed when Paragon Creative Ltd reversed into cash shell Marwyn Capital II Ltd at the beginning of 2012. The maximum cost of the deal is £4m in cash and shares and £2.5m was raised at 4p a share.

At 6.75p a share, Paragon is valued at £10.9m.
