Seeing Machines says that it expects to move into profit in 2011-12 but it warned that some contracts in the mining sector are taking a long time to come to fruition.

Bill Mobbs has stepped down as chairman. His interim replacement is existing non-exec David Gaul.

Seeing Machines designs integrated software and digital camera technology that tracks facial movement and reactions.

The DSS driver safety system is the market leader in fatigue detection for mining businesses. A ruggedised version is being launched.

Advertising and consumer businesses are interested in licensing the faceAPI software. Final trials of the Truefield ophthalmic product are underway. The development of the next generation of the faceLAB product has started.

At 2.38p a share, down 0.5p, Seeing Machines is valued at £9.82m. House broker Daniel Stewart has not published a forecast for this year.
